This week in class we were given an assignment to create a facebook page for a spot around campus we enjoy. We were put into groups and told choose a spot around campus that we like and then we are supposed to observe it. I like the idea of this, I'm on facebook all the time. :)

I think facebook is a good idea to promote things. At this point, almost everyone is on facebook and it's weird when you find someone who is not. It's a good way to get exposure to things and it's a chance to kind of force things on people. They will at some point see things on facebook and if it's something that interests them then they have an easy way to learn about it. Putting academic pages on facebook pages would really benefit students. I know from personal experience I spend a lot of time not on my studies and on facebook, so if there was academic things on there it would be good. Students might actually study more that way.
